Training objectives:

Idéa Boom is a hackathon designed to give Master’s students a first interdisciplinary experience in developing an innovative solution to a concrete theme. My team’s objective was to develop a solution for EDF that would reduce the environmental and social impact of the 2030 Winter Olympics. After three days of creative work, we were able to develop an idea for an innovative virtual reality (VR) fan zone that would enable people to experience the thrills of the athletes from the comfort of their own homes. We wanted to set up these fan zones around the world to reduce the flow of travelers.

It would have been possible to reuse the material for tourism as well as for awareness-raising through VR experiences that let you see through the eyes of a wild animal.

My team was rewarded for the best idea among the three groups working on this theme.
