Use of spreadsheets (Excel)
During my academic career, I learned how to use various spreadsheet programs.
First, Excel was an important tool for my school projects.
This was particularly true in Australia, where my courses relied on the use of Excel to give students a taste of what it’s like to work as a financial manager and to optimize the use of the formulas they learned.
I also used Excel to analyze and graph data related to our COVID vaccine survey with Junior Entreprise Genève.
Then, I was able to familiarize myself with Google Sheets through my various university associations. Its sharing feature within a drive makes it more accessible for large groups, and its simplified interface makes it a perfect tool for drafting budgets or tracking group projects for a small organization such as a student association.
The courses where I learned to use Excel are: In Australia:
- Portfolio Management FINS2624
- Options, Futures & Risk Management FINS3635
- Wealth Management Advice and Ethics FINS2643
In France:
- Exploitation of Statistical Surveys
