Working and communicating with multicultural teams

I developed this skill through my numerous projects at the University of Geneva, a cosmopolitan city where our university and association teams were made up of members from diverse backgrounds.

My involvement in the ESN Geneva association was very formative, as many members had lived abroad. The events organized were aimed at international students, which allowed me to develop communication skills within the team and outside the team with the project beneficiaries. We communicated in French and English to ensure optimal understanding.

My university projects also had an international dimension, with the majority of my courses taught in English and many international students enrolled.
It was rare for all members to speak French well enough for a university project, so organization, meetings, and presentations were mainly in English. It was crucial to take into account the cultural biases of group members when developing ideas.

Thanks to these experiences, I was able to develop my work and communication skills in multicultural teams in various situations and environments.
